Cosgrove Care launch their 4th Annual Short Story Competition on 5th February – sponsored by The Avenue shopping Centre and Waterstones, Newton Mearns.

Children are invited to submit a story of no more than 500 words using the theme “If I could travel in time”

The competition is open to all children of primary school age with three age categories: P1-3, P4-5 and P6-7.

Winners will receive book vouchers, books and the opportunity to have their story e-published and made available for sale on Amazon!

Each year the prizes have been presented by award winning author Theresa Breslin who said at last year’s prize giving: “Once again the Cosgrove Short Story Competition reveals the wealth of sparkling talent in our young people.”

Competition organiser and judge- Helena Winocour, Fundraising Executive at Cosgrove, said: “Since the competition began we have seen over 300 entries packed with creativity and imagination- I can’t wait to read this year’s!”

All entries to be submitted by no later than Friday 3rd March into the competition entry box at Waterstones, Newton Mearns along with the £1 entry fee.
