COSGROVE Care chief executive Walter Hecht is scaling new heights to raise cash for the Giffnock charity.
The Cosgrove boss is gearing up for a trip to Spain next month, where he’ll tackle a sky dive in the hope of reaching a £2,000 fundraising target.
Community fundraiser Nicola Diamond told The Extra: “Earlier this year Robert Morris, of the Morris Furniture Group, invited Walter to join him on a charity sky dive.
“This didn’t appeal to Walter, who then made the mistake of mentioning it to Cosgrove’s all female fundraising team — who thought it was a fantastic idea! The fundraisers put girl power into action and persuaded Walter that he really did want to take part, so against his better judgement, he’s going to jump out of an aeroplane.”
The cash will go towards the development of the mental disability charity’s Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) project, offering theraputic sessions working with horses.
