THE Ramshorn Theatre has been host to some of the finest amateur drama in Britain during the last 40 years.

However, this may be no more following the devastating news that Strathclyde University are proposing to cut all cultural activities across the university.

This could mean that Glasgow Music Theatre’s production of Stephen Sondheim’s hit musical Company could be one of the last shows, when it runs from May 10-14.

Newton Mearns man Paul Darroch organised a rally to protest the cuts on Saturday.

Stewart Archibald (24) is centre stage in the production of the Stephen Sondheim’s hit.

Stewart plays Bobby, a single man forced to take stock of his life as his friends gather to celebrate his birthday.

Confronted by his best friends, they throw him a surprise party. They are all married couples and there’s pressure on Bobby to settle down . Not that there’s no love interest in store for Stewart, who has three leading ladies.

n Company runs from Tuesday till Saturday at the Ramshorn Theatre at 7.30pm. Tickets are from £7.50. Phone 552 3489.
