The Kwenderana Partnership Group is a twinning between Busby, Giffnock South, Greenbank and Williamwood Churches of Scotland with Ekwendeni Church and congregation in Malawi.

The organisation has been working for more than ten years now to improve the quality of life of the people in Ekwendeni.

The FP Swing Band conducted by Grace Hamilton gave an excellent concert on behalf of Kwenderana in Busby Parish Church this month. The event raised a magnificent £637.

On Saturday, June 11tKwenderana are holding a Strawberry Afternoon Tea in Williamwood Church. Tickets priced £5 are available now. The group are hoping that the money raised by these events will be enough to buy land which will belong to the Partnership Group at Ekwendeni. This will be used to grow food for the old and vulnerable within the community.

A party of young people from Williamwood High School along with Rev. Jeanne Roddick and Rev. Catherine Beattie are travelling to Ekwendeni on June 8 to help the community. For more info see: http://www.busbyparishchurch.org.uk/kwenderana-partnership-group-/
