The new Co-op store on Harvie Avenue officially opened its doors on Thursday last week. The formal ribbon cutting ceremony was carried out by pupils from both Crookfur and St Cadocs Primary schools. The pupils involved are members of each schools Fairtrade committee. The Co-op are huge supporters of the Fairtrade initiative so thought it very appropriate.

The new store is open seven days a week from 6am until 10pm and have an in-store bakery providing speciality breads and rolls as well as tasty pastries, pies and cakes. They are committed to getting involved in the local community and already have a donation point in store, where customers can donate to East Renfrewshire Good Causes.
