SOUTHSIDERS are being urged to be on their guard against bogus police officers.
The warning comes after two men, claiming to be police officers, tried to gain entry to a 56-year-old woman’s home on Cheviot Road, Mansewood last Tuesday around 11.20am.
The two suspects fled in a blue Ford Focus after the woman asked for ID and headed in the direction of Rostan Road.
Detective sergeant Mark McLennan of Pollok CID said: “This was an unnerving experience for the woman, who thankfully was unhurt.
“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Cheviot Road near the time of the incident who saw any suspicious activity and who may have witnessed two men in a royal blue Focus car.
“Vulnerable persons may be conned by these individuals and it is imperative we trace them before this happens”.
