THE body of a missing southsider has been found in Pollok Park.
Cardonald College student Jordan McGinty’s clothing and personal items — which included an iPod and a rucksack — were identified by his 40-year-old father Stephen.
Officers discovered the body during a search of the park on Friday.
A spokesman for Strathclyde police said there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A post-mortem is set to be carried out to establish the facts surrounding the death.
Speaking at a press conference, father Stephen said: “This is the news we were dreading.
“We are all devastated and don’t know where to turn.
“I would like to thank everyone who has offered us support through this incredibly tough time.”
Jordan was missing for almost three weeks, having left his grandmother’s house in Mosspark at around 8.30am on Tuesday September 27.
His parents said they did not notice anything suspicious in the run up to his disappearance.
