Bill Nicol in charge of Hometown Foundation
A MAN who originally hails from Carluke but has lived in Lanark for the past three decades has been put in charge of the efforts to create a third large town in Clydesdale.
The new director of the Hometown Foundation, which aims to create the new community of Owenstown in the Douglas Valley, is 52-year-old Bill Nicol.
With the huge project to build 3000 new homes for a population of around 8000 people near Rigside nearing its crucial planning permission stage, Bill appears to be a very apt choice for the job.
