Bill and Barbara Dornan celebrated their diamond anniversary on September 14.
Barbara, from Stamperland, and Bill, who was born in Busby, moved to Clarkston after marrying, where they lived for 50 years before moving to Giffnock.
Barbara worked in the SSEB in the Shawlands showroom as a cashier/salesperson for 25 years before taking early retirement.
Bill worked as a taxi driver and then a chauffeur before he too took early retirement.
The couple have three sons and a daughter, and seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, most of whom live in the area.
Barbara said: “We had a lovely meal out with our children to celebrate. We enjoy life to the full every day which keeps us active.”
