The police are appealing for information following a fatal road crash in Albert Drive last Thursday (August 4).

Around 8.15pm a Suzuki motorcycle was travelling east on Albert Drive, Pollokshields, Glasgow, when it appears to have clipped the side of a Ford Galaxy, also travelling east, which resulted in the rider being thrown from the bike.

Emergency services attended but the man, aged 32, died at the scene. The male driver of the Ford Galaxy, aged 56, was not injured.

Enquiries carried out by officers have revealed that a small, silver coloured hatchback car, with a learner driver vehicle roof sign, was travelling on Albert Drive in the opposite direction.

Officers are appealing to the driver or occupants of this car to contact them as they may have information which could assist the investigation.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact officers at the Road Policing Unit in Govan via 101.
