VISITORS of a different kind will be welcomed at The Avenue this Easter Sunday.
From 12noon until 4pm on April 8, the shopping centre will host pygmy goats, lambs, Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs, rabbits and — of course — Easter chicks.
The petting farm allows children and adults of all ages to feed and hold the animals.
The Newton Mearns centre is giving away 10 family tickets to the Heads of Ayr farm park, to win the chance to visit them in their own surroundings, and forms are available throughout The Avenue (running April 1-15)
The mall is also hosting a series of free children’s events throughout Easter, starting with a storytelling session at Waterstones on April 10.
The Tuesday session is for ages four to nine, followed by a pre-school event on Thursday, April 12.
Waterstones will also host a Lego swap shop on Saturday, April 14 – allowing young collectors the chance to swap any doublers or triplers in their Lego sets.
