The Southside Film Festival needs you — or your archive material, to be precise.
Following last week’s announcement that the fest is back October 8-11, the team are asking Glasgow film-goers to rummage in the attic in search of photographs, films, tapes, slides, audio recording or anything else of interest.
The deadline for submissions is June 1 with two events on this month.
The festival team are at Shawlands Arcade on Sunday (May 10), 2-5pm, and later at The Glad Cafe, 5-7pm, followed by a free screening of Glasgow 1980.
They’ll be back and collecting again on Saturday, May 16 between 2-5pm, again at Shawlands Arcade.
Karen O’Hare, Southside Film Festival director, said: “We are focusing on local cinema heritage and want to discover some hidden film gems about cinema-going, or just films shot in the area that we can show at the festival.”
