An amazing 17 club members medalled, including gold medals for Lily Begen, Sophie Thomson, Rachel Hulmes, Angus Lavy, Sophie Hoo-Lochrie, Christina Hill and Fiona Glen.

They also landed seven silver and three bronze, despite strong competition from other clubs.

All of the gymnasts who finished in the top two in the national levels – Amy Hulmes, Sophie Thomson, Sophie Hoo-Lochrie, Fiona Glen, Holly Mardle and Holly Kelly – will go on to represent the club at the British semi-finals in March or May.

A club spokesperson said: “This year’s championships have been the club’s most successful with gymnasts claiming 17 medals in total and several others coming very close.

“We were delighted with the result. We couldn’t be happier and wish them the best of luck for the British.”
