Clydebank defeated the Newlandsfield side 4-3 on Saturday, a result which leaves Lok firmly in the relegation mire.

“You can’t coach character and you can’t coach heart”, said boss McInally.

“We have inherited a lot of these players and their performances throughout this season have not been good enough.

“Bad habits are ingrained in this team and nobody can wave a magic wand and make everything better.

“The supporters deserve more than what they have seen this season from a team of Pollok’s stature.”

A 35-yard free kick by loan signing Josh Horne and a header from Graeme McLaren put Lok two goals ahead within seven minutes, but Pollok soon lost their grip on the game.

The southsiders are now just one point ahead of Arthurlie, who lie second from bottom. The two sides meet in a local derby at Dunterlie Park on Saturday.

Tony continued: “We have eight cup finals until the end of the season. Saturday was a very sore one to take but Clydebank had a better work ethic about them.

“We have to learn from that and outwork every other team we face until the end of the season.”
