This year’s edition of Condorrat Has Talent was well up to the standard seen previously, raising £865 which will go towards the major renovation works currently underway at the church.

A large audience was entertained by musical performances and dance routines.

Margaret McCallum, a member of the fundraising committee who helped organise the show, said: “It was a great night with the hall packed out so it was almost standing room only. Everyone enjoyed it a lot and everyone in it was very good.”

Performers included the Girls’ Brigade, the Boys’ Brigade, young accordionist Laura McPhail, and the Scottish Dance Academy which meets in the Church hall every Friday.

Andy Eadie, Harvey Baird and Matthew Russell also formed a band especially for the show.
