FAIRTRADE football festival held by East Ren council. Staff and local businesses welcome to join 7-a-side tournament for Fairtrade Fortnight. Free event at Woodfarm high, 2.45pm start.

WORLD day of prayer service held at St Joseph’s church, Clarkston. 7.30pm start, followed by tea in the church hall. All welcome.

Saturday March 3

CELEBRATE International Women’s Day at Clarkston Hall. Stalls, beauty workshops and home baking from 11am until 3pm. Free event, and all welcome. Free bus service running from Barrhead sports centre throughout.

CLASS re-enactment at the Scotland Street School Museum – Back to School with Miss Baxter. A trip to 1939 from 2pm. Costs £2 (£1.50 for under 16s), and places are limited.
