UNLESS you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, chances are you know the name Susan Boyle.

It’s almost as likely that you’ve seen her now famous YouTube video – a Britain’s Got Talent audition gone viral and beamed to millions of people around the globe.

For those who care to relive that moment, the King’s Theatre is the place to be this week.

Elaine C Smith stars as the shy songstress in I Dreamed a Dream – a musical based on her life so far.

The show charts Susan’s rise to fame from humble beginnings in Blackburn to multi-platinum album sales.

It opened in March this year, and returns to Scotland after a UK-wide (and somewhat acclaimed) tour.

Fans can expect more of the same – something of a back catalogue of the singer’s work – as well as a story held up as inspirational to anyone with dreams of their name in lights.

n I Dreamed a Dream runs at the King’s October 1-13. Performances 7.30pm with 2.30pm matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Tickets £12-£34 from 0844 871
