Paloma keeps the Faith
Paloma Faith
Paloma Faith is coming to the O2 Academy and the little lady with the big voice is set to wow the city audience.
In the music business for almost six years, Paloma started out mimicking blues singers she admired such as Etta James and Billie Holiday.
She freely admits to both these torch singers being an influence on her own music.
Number one single success has always eluded the singer, but she does have an army of loyal fans.
And her talent is recognised in no less a place than the USA.
But the small singer has never been short of a word or two when expressing her thoughts.
Just last year Paloma recorded a video for the Out4Marriage campaign, supporting legislation for same sex marriage.
She has recently signed for America’s Epic Records and the company’s CEO, LA Reid, said of Paloma: “In an era where authenticity resonates, Paloma is the epitome of soul. It’s an honour for Epic Records to be part of her career in the United States”.
High praise indeed.
Now, she has a new album out, Fall To Grace, which she will be vigorously promoting during the tour playing the single 30 Minute Love Affair and her brilliant interpretation of INXS’s Never Tear Us Apart.
Paloma will be appearing at the the O2 Academy on January 28.
