One woman says it all
Isobel Rutter
THERE’S double bill of one woman at Eastwood Park Theatre next Wednesday.
Celebrated after dinner speaker Isobel Rutter will perform a two-parter of full-on entertainment unber the collective heading, Bits and Boobs Too
In the first half of the evening, Isobel performs her one-woman play, Secrets, Lies and Not-So-Sweet Charity — a self-penned, witty and thought-provoking piece.
The second half of the show will have you howling in your seats with Isobel’s adeptness at comedy.
Bits and Boobs is, as the title suggests, entails a variety of material and takes the Boobs part of its title from the first performance — which was a benefit show to raise money for a breast cancer charity.
Isobel was born and raised on the Isle of Tiree and has been around the theatre all her life.
Over the years she has played many and varied characters but in the last 10 years has concentrated on comedy acting and is now very comfortable with her favoured role as stand-up comedienne and an after-dinner speaker.
She is also a gifted singer and musician who covers a wide range of musical styles from classical to pop and jazz.
If folks are very lucky, they may just hear some of this musical talent.
