Now that’s what I call Scottish

NOW that the smell of gunpowder has died down and the costumes have been packed away or sent back to the store, the celebrations for December are starting to grow in magnitude.

And part of the season is welcoming back The Magic of Scotland to the Pavilion.

A much-loved variety show, it entertains young and old with a mixture of acts from all over the country.

This year sees a brand-new production with singer Peter Morrison joined by his daughter Jackie.

The show also boasts living legend and banjo-playing Netherlee lad Alastair McDonald. Also, joining the throng will be John Carmichael and his band, to bring the air of a ceilidh to the evening’s proceedings.

Wrapping up this celebration of all things Scottish will be violinist and flautist Katherine and Celine — The Jiggerys.

The Magic of Scotland is on at the Pavilion from tonight until Saturday, November 17 from 7.30pm. Tickets are £14 for evenings (£13 concession) and £13 for the Friday and Saturday matinees (2pm).
