Blues festival

PUT on your dancing shoes as Glasgow is hosting its second rhythm and blues festival with artists from across Europe.

Following the success of last year's event, the city is once again hosting the weekend showcasing the world's best in contemporary r'n'b, rock'n'roll and soul music.

Bands from London to Tennessee will take to the stage on Saturday and Sunday to maintain the city's reputation as the hib of a vibrant music scene.

Festival organiser Mark Hislop says this year is set to be bigger and better than last.

He told the Extra: "We're really looking forward to this year's festival. We've got some amazing acts and fantastic music. The first festival was a great success and I'm sure people will return to make it an even better event this year".
