Eastwood park theatre are celebrating the silver screen — and of course, the families who watch it together — kicking off with Mary Poppins on Sunday at 2pm.
If that doesn’t sound practically perfect in every way then there’s Monday at the Movies – this week screening Singing in the Rain.
Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds star in the musical about Hollywood’s transition into talkies, featuring a now-famous puddle-splashing scene and a wealth of memorable tunes.
The show’s at 11am, and like the Sunday screening, tickets cost £4.50 (£3.50 concession), available from 557 4970.
And if you fancy a jaunt to the city centre, there’s also the big screen night at Sloans.
The city centre bar shows classic films each week, and on Tuesday it’s the turn of 80s Tom Hanks vehicle Big — and it’s free to watch, provided you’ve picked up a ticket in advance of the 7pm showing on 229 5270.
