As well as showcasing vintage clothing, accessories, jewellery and homewares, the event, which runs till Sunday, will also feature homemade jewellery and headbands from local fashion student Iona Sinclair.

Michelle McCabe, manager at The Avenue, said: “If you’re desperately seeking the perfect Christmas gift for your nearest and dearest – but you’re still at a loss about what to get – then come along to our vintage event for a range of special gift ideas, from jewellery to homewares”.

Oxfam Boutique will host a special launch night for the vintage event in the Avenue tonight, from 7pm till 10pm.
