ALBERT Drive residents are invited to share their experience of the neighbourhood in the next stage of a community arts project.

As detailed in The Extra, Glas(s) Performance’s large-scale arts project – also named Albert Drive – began in October 2012.

The idea is to engage residents and businesses along the Pollokshields street to catalogue their experiences, leading up to a street party event — including performances, installations and the launch of an Albert Drive publication — taking place this summer.

Artists are arriving at the southside venue to take part, and residents are invited to point them in the right direction by contributing to A Letter To Our Neighbours – a free one-hour session aimed at creating a dialogue about what it means to live in Pollokshields.

Letters from the workshops — to take place between February 1 and March 15 — will be displayed on the street for neighbours to read, and any individual or group is welcome to book a session with Glas(s) by contacting participate@albertdrive.com.

For more info on the Albert Drive project — and participating artists Arpita Shah, Basharat Khan, Edo Architecture, Janice Parker, Nic Green and Shauna McMullan — follow @albertdrive on Twitter, or find the project on Facebook.
