TOMORROW is the closing date for discounted early bird entries to this year's freshnlo Great Scottish Run in September.
Louise White, STV's Scotland Today presenter and keen runner, enlisted the help of southside sisters Aimee and Karys Edgar to encourage other runners to take advantage of the reduced entry fee.

Aimee (11) and Karys (9) from Woodfarm, both plan to take part in the junior great Scottish run three k, at Glasgow Green on September 6.

The adult race, which has 10k and half marathon routes, is on September 7.

Louise is running in the 10k race in aid of the charity, 500 Miles (www.500miles.co.uk), which was set up by her friend Olivia Giles to support prosthetic services in deprived countries.

Three races over one weekend make the run one of the UK's most inclusive running events. Families and friends, regardless of age or fitness level, can train and take part together.

Coupled with Glasgow's reputation as the friendly city, organisers and sponsors hope that more first-time runners than ever before will join with repeat runners to take up the challenge across all the events.

To enter the great Scottish run log on to www.runglasgow.org. or call the entry hotline on 0845 270 0166.
