GIFFNOCK soccer centre's under-14 county team picked up the Telford Cup in front of 200 people at Braehead on Saturday.
After well-earned victory over Paisley and district league winners Renfrew Victoria 2-1, coaches Michael Gallagher and David Hume praised the performances of both teams and said: "The lads played with great spirit and every player on the pitch showed real commitment. It was thrilling end to the season."

The team are losing some boys to the pro-youth set-up and are now looking for players. So if you were born in 1994 and think you've got skill go to giffnocksoccercentre.co.uk.

The win follows their West of Scotland Cup triumph last year and winning the Preston Cup, which is a UK wide tournament, this year.
