A NEW walking group has formed in East Renfrewshire and its members took to the hills last weekend on their inaugral trip.
East Ren's University of the Third Age walkers set off from Brownside farm, Renfrewshire on a hike suitable for most able-bodied retired people.

The next monthly meeting of U3A will be in Fairweather hall, Newton Mearns on Wednesday, September 24 at 2.30pm where the guest speaker will be Alastair Dinsmor, curator of Glasgow police museum.

It is proposed to hold monthly meetings on alternate months in the Barrhead area and the Eastwood area.

Look out for announcements about the start of a U3A family history group and a U3A digital photography group in the coming weeks with other U3A groups also commencing over the next month or so.

Find out more by logging on to www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk/u3a or pick up a leaflet at your library.
